A unit in the building was the subject of an interesting lawsuit (NB the Coop itself was neither the Plaintiff nor Defendant).

A shareholder owed a debt and the creditor went after their personal property, which included the Coop unit in this building. The Shareholder filed a suit claiming that since the Creditor did not have an Executed Recognition Agreement that they could not foreclose on the Stock and Lease. The Court sided with the Creditor saying that under the Lien Law there was no such requirement. I apologize that I don't recall the case caption.
