Discussion about 340 East 19th Street
Is this legal with no roof access (from 2nd floor) and no fire escapes?

My understanding is that a 2-family is generally ok if it has a sprinkler system OR fire escapes.

My question is whether it will sell for more than $5m.

Also their CO is still in force under the old code (pre-2008)

If you take this page with floor plan to the station nearest to the building, the firemen there will tell you. It never hurts to bring cookies or a fruit basket. : )
