Discussion about 425 East 58th Street #48A
I used to live in the building, and loved the apartment and the area. I got out really fast when I discovered my apartment was loaded with toxic mold and that was confirmed by one of the staff who said every time they had a leak and had to open hip a wall or a ceiling they found mold. This can NOT be remediated. I ran a couple of tests for mld because I found I couldn't breathe and was coughing constantly Toxic mold wasn't the only mold- there were several, but the black mold was most of it. Too bad.
Wishstar, I do not see how your comment applies to this listing. Mold problem can happen due to leaks in a particular apartment and can be remediated but is rarely a building wide issue to my knowledge.
30 may have more comments. Without being an expert, my understanding is that you replace moldy Sheetrock or wood, spray the remaining area well with mold control spray and dry it before replacing the material and of course fix the leak which caused mold in the first place.
