Discussion about
Hey- it would be amazing to have a filter for opportunity zones on street easy... these are done by census tracks... https://esd.ny.gov/sites/default/files/FINAL-Recommendations-OZ-42618.pdf And someone made a google map: https://esd.ny.gov/opportunity-zones The tax windfall by putting your capital gains to work in an opportunity zone are tremendous.

@ph41... which one did you invest with?

Personally, I'm thinking of doing something like this in the next year or two (looking for a bottom in NYC realestate first. I'm currently renting:

1. Sell a bunch of appreciated securities.
2. Buy a primary residence (perhaps in an opp zone perhaps not.).
3. If primary residence is not in an opp zone buy an investment property in an opportunity zone to defer/reduce capital gains.
4. Hold opp zone property for 10 years to get tax free gains.

Clarion Ventures Qualified Opportunity Zone
Fairly large buy in- but shielded fairly large capital gains
