Housing swap?

Discussion about
I know someone who has an investment property in Florida that he has not been able to sell. He would be interested in swapping it for a property in New York (NYC or Hudson Valley). He has approached brokers but has received a lukewarm response. Aside from listing it on a housing swap web site, does anyone know how my friend can target the appropriate market of soon-to-be Florida retirees? Thanks.

First I would think that your friend would have to really show that this would be a comparable swap. The market in FL is not very good and houses/apts. can be had very cheaply.
