Discussion about 214 West 72nd Street #PHB
Over $6M to under $4M, Penthouse priced psf lower than other apartments in the building? Or is it the street retail?

"Taxes are under appeal" is almost criminally misleading.

It may have been taxes, on top of the fact that, for $4m and definitely for $6m, the main entrance should not be directly into the kitchen. Makes people think they took the service elevator by mistake (maybe this *is* the servant's apartment?). And one of the large windows in the not very big LR/DR is a lot line window (though it will probably be a while before a swath of W 72nd is torn down for a new tower). Sorry, this is not a floorplan that screams $6m.
Nevertheless, it's in contract, and I hope the buyer negotiated a big discount from $4m.

@Aaron2 - Just checked and sure enough that part of W 72nd is not a historic disctrict so those handsome old buildings could come down. Sad to contemplate
