WHat is with these listings that show pics of arbitrary things around NYC like they have anything to do with where the apartment is actually located?

While I guess I understand the pic of Times Square I really don't understand the pic from The High line at what I would guess is close to 23rd Street.

I think it depends on the price point of the unit. I generally don't see casual neighborhood pix in listings for higher-end sales (say $7m+) -- you might get a particularly good view out a window, and the strategically placed wine bottles in the kitchen or on the terrace.
