For those who are into the townhouse market, what are your thoughts on the Oct 23 sales price versus the 2020 sales price?

I just looked up the buyer - the UK UN Mission. So now at least 4 of the townhouses on Beekman Place are owned by UN Missions - Luxemburg, Qatar, Tunisia and the United Kingdom.

I was wondering about the spelling but too lazy to look it up. Thank you for the correction.

Well, it's been owned by a string of people to whom price was probably not in their top 10 list of concerns. Somebody along the way probably saved the current owner $10m in legal fees & filings in getting the title free and clear of the 1979 owner.

I have a neighbor here in Columbus who is watching Feud and was talking about Babe Paley. That is what caused me to go back and take a look at what was going on with this house. I am sure Babe is resting happily in her grave with the new owners, while Eleanor Biddle Shipman has likely not found a moment's peace in the afterlife since Qatar purchased her pride and joy.
