Discussion about
Has anybody out there used cellular shades for their windows? I'm thinking about Hunter Douglas top down/bottom up light filtering. Seems like could work well for NYC fishbowl apt with big windows to get privacy/let in light, but adds flexibility to let down the top when you want some open view. Anyone have any good or bad experience with HD cellulars? Do they look nice in actual apt as opposed to the showroom? Are they durable?

They are great economical option for rental but for a more luxurious look, you want solar shades or fabric.

Thanks. I appreciate the comment. I like the idea of the top down possibility which allows you to see the sky while still giving the room privacy by keeping the lower portion of the shade down.

They have several material choices at Hunter Dounglas for up and down. Just depends on what you want to spend.
