Discussion about
My wife's family owns a house in Fort Lee and, as they have been unable to find a renter, are asking us to move in. Does anyone commute from Fort Lee? I'm curious what the commute is like, as I imagine that it will be the worst part of living there. Also, any idea what a cab from NYC (say midtown) costs?

The bus to Port Authority is pretty civilized...I would totally recommend it. 30/40 min. There are several car services...one called M&B. They charge about 50/60 bucks to midtown.

Does anyone have any feelings on buying here? I was just introduced to the area and saw it was affordable...not to mention the enormous price slashings. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

You can get to Manhattan in under 15 minutes if you take the bus across the GW Bridge and then take the A train downtown to whereever you want to go.

Fort Lee is a nice area chuck1233. However, the property taxes are high.
