Sorry rufus, definitive proof that Chicago takes a back seat to NYC: http://www.forbes.com/2008/09/15/stress-cities-ten-forbeslife-cx_md_0915cities.html

They list lots of reasons why Chicago is the most stressful city -- crime, pollution, whiney nasally vowel sounds, food fit for a six-year-old. But they missed the main one: intense, prolonged boredom.

I guess you can get used to listening to the wind (while tuning out the gunfire) eventually, though. It's not like it's enough to drive a guy to move to Dallas or Houston.

NYC is #2 on that list, so according to forbes, it's not much better.

but let's assume that both cities are stressful. at least Chicago is a lot cleaner, cheaper, and livable.

So, Cracker Boy, you want me to repost the Forbes "Most Polluted Cities" list, where Chicago's #1! #1! #1!
and NY doesn't make the list?

This site seems to be more about Chicago than NY lately...

Well, this is a ploy by rufus to convince New Yorkers to move to Chicago, if not at least assure him that Chicago ain't that bad. His argument is basically since he's moving and cannot afford New York, we all should move to Chicago just like him. So far, it ain't working and in fact, Chicago got trashed and his feelings are deeply hurt. I think he needs to change his tactics...or more like his antics. :)

Its like the brokers who said "buy now or be priced out forever" in early 2008.

Rufus figures if he posts enough, Chicago won't become an even shittier city.

Well, really, that is Chicago's best and most hopeful strategy, so maybe Cracker Boy has something there.
