New buildings in LIC - will they ever open now?

LIC is full of new developments that are still in progress. While many are almost fully in contract, what happens now? How can someone find out if the development is healthy and that a building will actually be completed? As it is, buildings say they'll be done by a certain date and then it gets delayed, and delayed again. Anyone have an insight on this?
