Dueling open houses produce dueling price cuts

They both had double digit reductions in their asking prices. 3A must have thought that trees can grow to the sky as they pulled the listing in 2006, did some renovations and relisted at $4.5mm. Not so fast as $3.995mm looks like a reach at this point. 2A is starting to realize that the unrenovated, lower floor needs to trade for less. Maybe some hedgie who has been short western civlization and covered friday will spend $8mm and create the 20 room duplex.
They're fighting more than each other.

Granted, it's smaller, and needs reno... but half the price? Facing 96th, I'd want the higher floor, unless I absolutely needed the extra rooms.
