Discussion about
I heard that this condominium allows short term rentals. Please comment on location and desirability of this building and location. I believe that it is associated with The Michelangelo Hotel. I am from out of town. Thanks.

I live six blocks from there. Midtown West is hyper-convenient to nearly everything (I work Chelsea/Tribeca/SoHo, and my husband walks to work), has a great restaurant row (Ninth Avenue) and yet you're not too far from Central Park.

The downside is that you're essentially living in a business district, so it can be somewhat noisy.

I take it that the location is convenient, but it is in a noisy business district. Since I will be in Manhattan once or twice a year a couple of weeks at a time, it will be okay. I believe this is one of a handful of buildings that allow short term rentals. Are there any posiive or negative comments on the building?

If your apt faces south and the floor is low enough, you face the constant blue glare from ex-lehman, now barclays building jumbotron.

pretty expensive for a furnished apt. i think i paid about 3700 for a studio per month. quite dingy and small, but serviceable if you need a place to stay on a short term rental basis. location is good, as described by others.
