I initially toured there because the pricing seemed more than fair. Also, it's an okay neighborhood--not as "happening," as it is the "northeastern tail end" of the nice UES area, but not too close to the projects, FDR, or the hospitals/public service agencies.
Then, I found out that the monthlies (CCs + taxes) for a tiny 2BR was over $2,100. It's a huge bldg with ordinary amenities, so the CCs seem exceedingly high. The taxes, they have no control over, but CCs alone of $1.5/sf/mo cannot be justified in my view.
