SteveF, thank you. Just out of curiosity do they also do base board replacements and other general contracting jobs (ie, putting in a light fixture)?

I used steve@nymasterpiece.com to redo my wood floors. He was great. He showed up on time, had many crews to juggle a schedule around, did exactly what we discussed, when we discussed. I have since recommended him many times and everyone else has been happy too. Plus, he's a really nice guy. A real New Yauka!

I used Floor Works and was very happy with the refinishing of my oak and walnut herringbone patterned wood floors. They, well Marc Ringel, of Floor Works was the first person to come out and give me a quote, and I liked his energy a lot. He said something like "I'll be there at 2pm." And he was here, at 2pm on the dot. On the day of the job his crew showed up on time and completed the job on time. No mess was left.

I got quotes from 2 other companies, but sorry I don't remember their names.
