I'm sure you guys know this as well, but it is pretty obvious that all the residential buildings in battery park city have the exact same look. It's hard to distinguish one from the other. Is this intentional? It's horrendous that there is so little innovation or originality in NYC architecture. Look at any picture of Chicago, and almost no two buildings look the same. Each has a unique look, adding to the flavor of an amazing city. NYC has a long way to go before it catches up to Chicago.
I'm sure you guys know this as well, but it is pretty obvious that people in Chicago have the exact same look. It's hard to distinguish one from the other. Is this intentional? It's horrendous that there is so little innovation or originality in the way people dress in Chicago. Walk down the street in New York, and almost no two people look the same. Each has a unique look, adding to the flavor of an amazing city. Chicago has a long way to go before it catches up to NYC.
I'm sure you guys know this as well, but it is pretty obvious that people in Chicago have the exact same nasally whiney monotone. It's hard to distinguish one from the other. Is this intentional? It's horrendous that there is so little modulation or correct vowel sounds in the way people speak in Chicago. Walk down the street in New York, and almost no two people talk in the same flat depression-tone. Each has a unique sound, adding to the flavor of an amazing city. Chicago has a long way to go before it catches up to NYC.
I'm sure you guys know this as well, but it is pretty obvious that all of the posts on Chicago on NY Real Estate Boards (streeteasy, curbed, citydata) have the exact same language and points ("luxury hi-rises", "upscale restaurants", "no projects," "alleys," etc.). It's hard to distinguish one from the other even though they are written by "different" people. Is this intentional? It's horrendous that there is so little innovation in the way people write in Chicago. Look at the other posts on Streeteasy, and almost no two people approach things in the same way. Each has a unique point adding to the flavor of an amazing city. Chicago has a long way to go before it catches up to NYC.
