You CANNOT barbeque on terraces!
Of course you can barbeque on terraces, if they're big enough. Many of my friends have, and do.
You lawbreaker, you! Unless you had 10 foot clearance and 4 gallons of water handy.

I used to BBQ on a wooden deck at the back of my apt at 80 St Mark, had a charcoal Weber where hot ashes fell out the bottom, amazing I never burned the place down.
I hate those stunts. I see them in the sales listings. Moving the price of $2mn+ apt up and down $5K every other day just to stay on the radar screen. Always the same offenders too.
About the BBQ, I was told that you can't BBQ on balconies and most terraces anymore but people do anyway. Not sure how to risk buying a nice Weber grill and not being able to have it delivered! Speaking of grills, just bought my brother an indoor "smokeless" one that reviews swear is smokeless. Would love to know if that works.
I never said barbequing was legal (neither is jaywalking), just that many people do it.
Electric grills don't have that restriction.
