I'm perfectly happy with my purchase at Toren, since I plan to hold on to my apartment in one capacity or another indefinitely.

I stopped posting on Toren because I don't see any point in repating the same themes over and over again - I express my opinion, qualify it where necessary, add details when timely, and generally move on.

Anyways mate, I have better things to do than argue with you tonight - enjoy the rest of your Friday afternoon/evening and weekend posting away on Streeteasy. Hope it brings you happiness and fulfillment (to each their own).

nyc10022 aka Eddiewilson is a laid off wall street wannabe who is paralyzed by fear and cant understand how to make money in this market. it makes him feel better to try to convince everyone else that there is no money to be made in today's RE market.

NYC10022 - is a favorite to a landlord because he will send those checks for years the entire time thinking that he is making an investment. He is, for his landlord by paying off his landlords mortgage.

The similarities betw nyc10022's postings and stevejhx are more than coincidental. Same style of reposting other comments and then replying to them versus starting new thoughts.

No other two people post as frequently and at all hours of days as them. Reason to deduct they are one in the same.

Just look at perfitz... the guy who said to buy manhattan RE in January. The only good news for him is he didn't have as much money as he claimed, so he didn't lose as much.

While there are a ton of obvious personality similarities between stevejhx and nyc10022, I don't think they're the same person. They do take pretty different stands of some big issues.

That said, you know all those random "I want to piss 100k away fast, and need advice how" postings we get? Some user name that we've never seen before, never will see again, but suddenly trust a bunch of anonymous strangers to advise them about the 200k deposit they seem so eager to lose on their purchase contract? I have a very strange suspicion that those are nyc10022.

He did say he believes the "enlightened few" (his words) on Streeteasy have the power to move markets (which is ridiculous to most). What better way to move a market than to spread made-up fear?

I'm sorry that the rest of the world gets that the market is tanking and you don't... but chalking it up to a conspiracy... that is just stupidity.

The market may very well be tanking. That's a very separate issue. Even with that, its just stupid to think that those affected will post sob stories about intimate personal matters on a message board they've never participated in before. Especially in a manner that makes it obvious that they aren't even trying to recover any money.
