Discussion about The Park Millennium at 111 West 67th Street in Lincoln Square
Good location but awful building. It's so freaking ugly. But what can I expect from NYC. The city is a decade behind Chicago when it comes to architecture. The Park Millennium would be an eyesore in Chicago and would be laughed at.
I looked at a small Central Park facing studio, among the block of apartments that JP Morgan sold to an investor, being re-offered in the low 400s in 2005. I didn't act, because the apartment needed work and was a small unit, but was impressed with the view and the location. I was later surprised that a similar unit was offered in the low 500s a year later. My guess is the unit would probably fetch in the low 400s now.

Yes, Chicago is ten years ahead of NYC in a RE crash...
what accounts for the ridiculous prices in this building?
dmeisterg, that's a great question. The location is nice, but the actual building is nowhere close to 15 central park west or time warner. The amenities are no better than other condos, so I really don't know why it's priced so high.
dmeisterg... stupidity could account for some of the mis-pricing and/or I kept taking out HELOC.. and now gotta sell for mortgage plus $500K to make a profit :) The sellers' names are Dumbass... that's Mr.Dumbass to you and me...
Cracker Boy, isn't that the very building where you claimed (from your mom's basement in Hammond) to live?
