Discussion about
I got this in my email. "We are happy to announce that we've done some price reductions! 1-beds starting at $520,000 2-beds starting at $975,000 3-beds starting at $1,275,000 We are also offering a limited-time buy back program, as well as 5 years of free parking for those who go into contract right now." I'm thinking they're getting a little desperate.

It's that place that is advertising incessantly at the top of your screen (when TEMPO, Conrad and the Savoy are taking a break). Physically, I think it's in LIC. Interestingly, it has no active listings on StreetEasy (or it didn't a few days ago, at least).

Yes, the location is Long Island City. The views of Manhattan will be lovely, but I don't believe the prices will stay stable. The NYC real estate market is falling faster than expected.

sorry, just caught this...

http://curbed.com/archives/2008/12/18/view_to_a_price_cut.php

"1-beds starting at $520,000; 2-beds starting at $975,000; 3-beds starting at $1,275,000."... Before sales kicked off, prices were reportedly set to start at $760K for 1BRs, $1.2M for 2BRs and $1.465M for 3BRs"

Thats 32%, 19%, 13%. Plus, I have to figure SOME sold, so in theory the cheapest might be off the block entirely... so thats the minimum cut.

The View at East Coast - price reductions! WHY, its the hottest property in LIC? Now is the time to buy at The View at East Coast. Buy now at The View at East Coast or be priced out forever. Go to the Sales opps Rent Office at The View at East Coast and catch that falling knife they are selling.
