Just FYI, 24-karat gold leaf sells for $7.00 per square inch wholesale.

But if course it doesn't have a view of the projects.

The Caledonia - what a DIVE. You should see their website, read under "The Neighborhood." They forgot one giant part of that neighborhood.

Is that a glorified studio? Look at the size of that bedroom - all it will fit is a bed

mazdamp, I'd go look at it first. You'd need to hire a bodyguard to walk to the corner.

"You'd need to hire a bodyguard to walk to the corner."

Steve, is it that bad? That's what I never understood about the hotel on 9th & 17th-16th: Why pay those prices to be across the St from a project?

And yet, I've never had a problem when I'm at Chelsea Market.

Perfect example of what I posted about in the other thread - do people in reasonably priced 1 bedrooms really care that overVALUED (happy happyrenter?) crap like this have large price cuts?

dwell, it's fine along 10th Avenue but as soon as you turn onto 17th Street, it gets scary. Daytime is fine - nighttime is creepy.

I've walked in some nasty neighborhoods before, but that place scares me. Def wouldn't walk home at night.

So fine if somebody wants to live there - but for $14,000 a month?

Steve,
I hear you re: day v. night. I'm not there at night. I have seen cop cars there a few times & believe there was a big drug bust there a few yrs ago. Yet, my old manicurist lives there & she was a doll. But, agree: I won't invest there.
