Discussion about
My boss (very connected politico) just told me the Chrysler building is possibly going condo in the next year. anyway to verify this?
The Chrysler building on 42nd and Lex? I work in the building and I am pretty sure there are no residences here, and no businesses are moving out so I would say your information is incorrect.
I work in the building too. I say there is absolutely no chance of that. We are even up at the top, which would be the only reasonable place for apartments and it is just not happening. The building is actively leasing space and looking to extend leases. The top floors used to be residences, so i guess there is a small chance that it could happen, but very doubtful.
I heard something similiar recently, it wouldn't surprise me.
it would make some nice deco residences
that would be the cool
For some reason I doubt this, but I've been surprised before, as well as wrong.
But I agree a penthouse in the Chrysler would be brilliant
Something IS going, there is buzz out there
The Chrysler building is NOT going condo. 0% chance.
Is there a way to verify this?
From what I learned, there is talk about this happening
The Wilimsberg (spelling?) building in Brooklyn, was all commerical, now it has residential condos for sale
any more news on this?
There is no news as the Chrysler building is not going condo. I believe occupency is at 100%. The management company makes WAY more money in rent that they would if they sold the place as condos. There is no merit to this topic.
It's just not going to happen, I kinda wish it would though because I would be first in line! But it's definitely NOT happening.
#2 there are no residences there now you moron, the topic is about the possibility of the building being converted into residences.
actually they are in talks about seling the building for a condo conversion, however the market looks very slow right now
fromwhat i've heard something may come out within 12 months
And how do you know?
i work in the real estate investment field
I actually got a call a few days ago for a move out from the building, I work for http://www.divinemoving.com at the time I didn't think to ask but now I can't wait for the customer to call back so I can ask him this question...
Any of you who believe the Chrysler building will be converted into condos are idiots.
anybody who thought the MetLife Tower would go condo is a fool....woops
from what i've heard, this is supposed to be THE best conversion in the city, there are plans for 2x height units and the developer is sparing nothing on the units, there has been alot of talk about this in certain circles.
Does anyone have any actual proof of this. An article, newspaper clipping, anything?
Nobody will be able to provide any evidence because it isn't hppening.
who would want to live there? The area is totally uninteresting.
