Discussion about
Why are there so few nice apartment buildings in the village? Even the townhomes all look the same. It's too bad how low the quality of residential buildings are.

Yes, those god awful historic townhouses that get landmarked. Horrible.

Lets knock them down and put up pink marble trump buildings.

nyc10022, I like townhomes. But the ones in the village all look the same and are really bland. The townhomes in gold coast and lincoln park are incredible; they all look unique and are true gems.

the hypocrisy in your statement is crazy. They are all rebuilt after anything good was burned down. And they are all the same. They aren't "gems", no one wants them. They are cheap to buy.

New York has its historic buildings, Chicago unfortunately had all them burn down.

Still sucks to be Chicago!

nyc10022, townhomes in the gold coast are more expensive than the ones in the village.

Seriously, I've never heard anyone from NY call a townhouse a townhome.

That must be what they call them in Chicago.
