Anyone know exactly when Elliman or other brokerage firms will release their Q4 reports?

THe Elliman report should be released this week or next. But the data is extrmely lagging so they are not very useful. The Elliman report is likely going to show that prices have INCREASED due to a skew by the sale of high end apartments.

ignore the brokerage reports....

Jonathan Miller (the appraisal firm) is usually out quickly with the market firms. They actually pulled out the Novembers stats (the ones that said 20% down in Manhattan).

"ignore the brokerage reports...."

The same one you kept using to cite your 12% down mantra?

"No, that was also Jonathan Miller."

Go to the Miller Samuel website, open up a report, and these are the first words on the page: "Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate." I believe they are a brokerage around these parts.

it also says jumeriah essex house up at the top of the page... that doesn't mean they wrote the content.

JM is an independent appraisal firm... others can use/co-brand the data, but its Miller's data..

"prepared by Miller Samuel".

I get a big tax guide from my accountant each year, too.... but he doesn't dare call it "his" report.
He pays $100 bucks and they put his name on the cover.

Still, not quite sure why you are arguing this, you are starting to sound like Steve.

I like the Miller Samuel report. I think the elliman and other "brokerage" reports are ass...
