Discussion about Two WorldWide Plaza at 350 West 50th Street in Hell's Kitchen
Studios are small. There is a Blockheads on the public courtyard that gets quite lively and loud during good weather.
Oh, and Def Jam Records has offices right next door so you can watch out for the wannabe rappers and gangstas.
With many wall street jobs disappearing and NYC in a deep deep recession, isn't paying over 1,000 a sq feet pricey?
only!
any recent opinions on this building would be appreciated.
I have been warned in the past of high building application fees (in the ~800 range) so make sure this is part of your negotiation.
Sadly, the Def Jam offices are now elsewhere!
I owned an apartment there for many years. Great doormen and building services. Ballys is in the basement and as far as Bally's goes, one of there better ones. I never joined but they have a pool. Higher floor apts have amazing views of the Hudson River and good elevators. I owned so no view on rental pricing but I made good money buying in 2002 and selling in 2010. Great bars on 9th Ave and restaurants are always opening up. 9th avenue gets crazy during rush hour and gets very noisy.
I have recently financed a unit in this building, and have it approved for great rates and cheap closing costs. Call or email me to find out more.
