Anyone finding great large 1br rental deals?

Let's say on West 118 street in new construction for $2850 you can get 2br, 2bath (with all the incentives).

Go a bit north and 2br, 2 bath duplex with roof terrace (1,646sq.ft) would cost you $5K

West 56 street would get you 1Br for $3100
1 bedroom (approx 830 sq.ft) on West 75 Str. would cost $4600 (negotiable of cause)

Get one stop on N train from Midtown to Queens and 2br. 2 bath would cost you $2955

What areas? How plain or luxury do you want? Do you need a doorman? Big high-rise or something else?

i do see some movement down in the small one bedrooms non-doorman. If we see movement in stuyvesant town/peter cooper than that will say much about the rental market. right now they are 3100 with one month free. if they went to $2500..well
