Discussion about
Besides 15 Broad, are there any other nice modern downtown building with a pool? I'm looking to buy (or rent) a studio/1BR south of 23rd street. Thanks!

The Printing House in the Far West Village has a great rooftop pool

I'd like to have a pool that I don't have to share with nontenants... something like River House or the Visionaire.

Just curious, is a pool a strict requirement? I bought in a building thinking I wanted a pool but I used it maybe 4 times in 4 years. The maintenance of a pool is expensive too. Food for thought.

Yes, a pool is a strict requirement if I were to buy. I'm used to living in luxury condos with pools from my time in Hong Kong where most luxury developments have nice club houses with tennis courts, pools, squash courts, gyms, etc. I hate how NY real estate has such poor amenities in general...

Ideally I would like a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam, and gym. So far the Visionaire is the only development I know of which has everything. Would love to know if there is anything else out there?

NYC is way behind other cities when it comes to apartment amenities.

District on 60 Ann St. has a lap pool, but only one person can use at a time. Not sure if it is open as not all amenities are complete, last I heard.

20 Pine, Waterside

The new Brooklyn Condos are pretty amenity rich. Toren in Dtwn Brooklyn has all you're looking for and the Edge has a fabulous looking pool
and more, they have a in house spa. Just a thought.

The nicest pools are not in the modern buildings, because it's too expensive to build a real pool now. So you'll have to make a choice between a great multi-lane pool in an older building (London Terrace if you like prewars; Irving Plaza if you want something from the 80s) or something much narrower in anew building like 200 Chambers.
