Drop in rent for UWS prewar?

I'm not seeing too much of a drop in the rents for these types of places...those with open exposures, not facing brick walls... I certainly want to believe I can find a better deal now that my lease is up, but all these brokers still believe in me eating a fee and fighting with them is too tiresome (and I don't have the time...I need to move in by end of March, and have to tell my landlord mid Feb...) AAARGH

I saw a 1br @ 246 WEA listed for 2,600. Seems a drop to me.
