Does anyone have a way to get dimensions for apartments in this building? Thank you, Janice Fioravante

Thanks. ;-) On a more serious note, you might want to ask the management company if they will provide you with a floor plan. I see quite a few floorplans on StreetEasy. Which line are you looking for?

Just be aware that there is a housing project on the next block over - makes 2nd avenue in that area sort of unpleasant - lots of people hanging out.

I used to live on that block ... the nearby housing project is tiny (2 buildings) and has zero impact on the neighborhood. It's a great area with lots of restaurants, etc.

ah, tiny project and mostly elderly, from what I've seen.

hanging out? In the public plaza maybe? the park? the nerve of people, being visible and all. especially if they are"not our kind".

Not mostly elderly. Men hang out in front of the little convenience store on the west side of 2nd ave. Feels threatening at night. Was advised by friend living in the area to avoid that block when walking home.

I lived in this area for 25 years and am currently there several times a week, including walking up and down second ave day and early night (I'm just not an night owl anymore). My ex told me the same thing about what blocks to avoid, in 1990. City has changed a little since then (when by the way I would walk home at 4 am all the time). The only discomfort I ever felt around that area was caused by the Bellevue Men's shelter which does bring some disreputable and unpleasant characters to the area. Street life from the projects lets me feel safer. But I guess its all in what makes stretches your comfort zone...seeing darker skin tones, people hanging out, perhaps talking loudly are well within mine and many others in NYC.
