Been looking for data like this too. TREGNY goes back to early 07 and Citi's black and white report goes back to 2002 if that helps..

In 2000 I paid $2800 or $2900 at 270 W !7th (Grand Chelsea), and the rent for a similar unit (600sf) is about 3200$....a bit over 10% higher.

The apartment I lived in was for sale in 2000 (I could rent or buy) for 380,000.....and similar units now sell for over 700 - 750,000.
