Discussion about
Excellent article by Jonah Goldberg on Obama's ridiculous overreach. This stimulus bill was never about reviving the economy; rather, it is intended to fulfill every liberal big-government fantasy that was on the democrats' wish list for 30 years. The democrats want to make more people dependent on government programs, so they can expand their electoral majority. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=OGUwZjlkZWE1YWNkYmVjMzQ4YTI4ZWRmMDhlODVhMmU=

Yes, because the National Review is so unbiased. It is less factual then The Onion. Come on out of the Bush Bubble and join the rest of us in reality.

what angle can this guy be coming from? hmmm...

Jonah Goldberg is married to Jessica Gavora, former chief speechwriter and a senior policy adviser to former Attorney General John Ashcroft

On February 8th, 2005 Goldberg offered Cole a wager of $1,000 "that Iraq won't have a civil war, that it will have a viable constitution, and that a majority of Iraqis and Americans will, in two years time, agree that the war was worth it."[17] Cole refused to accept and the wager was never actually made;[18] Goldberg later conceded that if Cole had accepted the bet, Goldberg would have lost it

Ding...Ding...Ding...Ding...we have a winner! Nice catch sniper!

Just another dose of truth-challenged talking points slapped together and disseminated amongst the dead-enders in the flock. To them I say, "Have fun becoming irrelevant."

A friend of mine once tried to wager me a $1000 that I would not get my final payment from a recalcitrant client. I would not take the wager, because either way, I would not feel good about it. If I were paid what I was owed, I would not feel right about taking a $1000 from my friend. If I was never paid, I would not want to give up the $1000.

I got paid, so I would have won the bet, but I no regrets. Friendship matters more to me than winning some silly bet.

And for that, sniper, you may now choose a bigger stuffed animal from the higher row. Would you like to call it a day and enjoy your winnings, or would you like to try to the really big stffed animals on the top row?
