Chartwell House - 92nd and 2nd Ave.

is there a bldg in Manhattan that doesnt have some form of infestation; whether it be some cockroaches or a mouse?

Anyway, construction is mostly around the 92nd - 95th streets. They had to rewire electrical/plumbing so they can install boring machine. Its kind of a mess there now and with so many open areas, sure, maybe infestation is a bit more of a concern than before construction. But who knows. I liked that area alot, and lived on 93rd and 2nd for 3 years. I almost bought in chartwell house when it came out. I think the bldg is nice, units on smaller side, but a good clean building.

suzyq- what are you looking for exactly in Yorkville? There are tons of deals out there right now. (BTW- 2nd ave subway construction is only in the east 90's for now). I used to live on 71st & 1st & my old landlord is asking $2,400 for an approx. 700 SF doorman 1 bedroom.
Julia suggested Broadwall- they have a bunch of buildings in the east 80's that are no fee + free rent. I can e-mail you a list of their availabilities as well as other apts if you let me know your criteria.
