In this climate, what do you think a fair rent increase would be for the third year...after receiving a two year lease today?

No, they narrowly missed the First Depression. But I've lived nearly my whole life in a city that has a dramatic economic cycle. But also for a couple of years in AZ, where rents sometimes go down.

you just signed a two year lease. relax and enjoy the apartment and hopefully you will keep your job and not have to worry about the third year.
