However, that price ($5.5M) for a relatively mediocre building is laughable. The $5239 per month is a little bit much too. Relatively low floor, with the majority of the apartment facing North also doesnt help its case. Not to mention that the building looks like it was built in 1960. I predict this place will wallow on the market for months to come, and that they will drop the price by well over $1m before anyone even bothers to check it out. Thoughts?

I would personally never buy this place due to all the issues I mentioned above (ugly building, crappy floor, north facing, high monthlies, etc.), HOWEVER if I were interested I would say it might be worth (current value) in the low to mid $2m range at MOST.

I just checked and some jerkoff paid $1.5m for an 800 square foot 1 bed in that building not that long ago. I guess its true that a sucker is born every minute!
