Wow! All I can say is the leasing staff at 50 Murray should really get some retraining on how to treat clients. I made a 3:30pm appointment to look at a place here. When I walked in the doorman was curt. I asked for the leasing office and his response "tell the guy at the front desk" the front desk sent me around to the leasing office for the appointment. I walked in and extended my hand to... [more]

Funny, I also had an unpleasant experience there, albeit a much shorter one. I was starting my apartment hunt and visited 50 Murray. The doorman and front desk guy were both nice enough but the leasing agent treated me like a nuisance as opposed to a potential tenant. Seems like at 50 Murray the opposite of the hard sell is not the soft sell. It's the hard get-the-f-outta-here-ya-bum! I left without even seeing a unit. Weird.

MHP, I'm looking to move, possibly to one of those buildings, in a couple of months. Can you share what you have found regarding pricing? 10 Barclays seems cool, though probably a little pricey for me.

I tried to look at 50 Murray as a walk-in, but they woudln't see me without an appointment and I have yet to make it back.

The staff and leasing people at 10 Barclay are superb and always pleasant. When we call to have something done in the apartment, they are there within minutes even though it's not an emergency, just something like a slow drain. But vecie, you shouldn't call women bitches. Can't you come up with something better? And you should learn to spell the name of your future apartment building.

I visited 50 Murray over the weekend to check out some studios, I have several friends in the building and it comes highly recommended. I didnt experience any of the above scenarios, I found the leasing agent i was with to be professional and willing to accomodate me even though I did not have an appointment. The building is fantastic and I am looking forward to moving in!

I had same unpleasant experience last year. Walked in and told doorman I'm looking for rental agent, he told me to wait in lobby. The twit came down, looked at me, "What do you want?!" Told her looking for a 1+ br. "We have none now!", and that was it! Didn't offer to take my name, or ask me to put in application, or to call later, or anything. 10 days later, after I had already signed a lease elsewhere, the twit is listing 3 places in CL that would have suited me fine. Very unprofessional! There is a more mature leasing agent (her boss, I believe) who I hear (from friends in building) is more professional.
