Just some perspective. Many summers ago, in the spring of '99, I was very interested in purchasing at 30W60th (I was intrigued by the very large courtyard garden) and the relatively low mtce. At that point, the sponsor still had some apts left - they were asking 300k for 1brs and 600k for 2brs.
How did you calculate the square footage? I took the width of the apartment by the depth and got 636 (which I thought was a generous way of calculating) -- 24 (11 ft width of bedroom + 13 ft width of living room) X 26.5 (19 ft. depth of lv rm + 7.5 depth of kitchen/foyer).
Tough crowd! Thanks for the feedback anyway, and here are my responses.
I have no reason to doubt that in the Spring of '99 the price was much lower, nor to doubt that it was that much lower for all real estate in Manhattan. I did not calculate the square footage.
700 sf is what the broker who sold it to me said it was, and it is what the F line and similar lines K, J, W, T and X are listed as in all the real estate listings (do a search and you will see).
It's a great price for any interested. I have a feeling it will go for more, but that is something the market will decide.
Looks interesting see you next sunday
Look forward to seeing you
