cost of renovation

have recently closed on an apartment and want to do the following project: In the living room I have a brick fireplace that has been painted and I want to strip it to the original brick. Also in the living room I have plaster on the walls behind which is brick which i would like to expose. Can anyone recommended a contractor and tell me if they have done a similar project the approx cost.
