negotiating with the landlord?

Hi. I found a studio apartment, and I love this place. The problem is this place will be available from May 1st, but my lease ends May 31st. Is it possible to negotiate with the landlord to move in from May 31st? Is it even negotiable?

everything is negotiable now.
you should also try to lower the rent
why not try?

Since it is only March, there is more or less a 100% chance the owner will give you some bs about how it is only march and he has lots of people looking at it etc. If they say that, the best you can do is leave your number and say you'll call again in a few weeks.
