The bastards killed Kenny! The greatest post ever has been completely removed as far as I can tell but I will be hosting a prime-time reunion show this thursday. All your favorite characters will be there to catch up on special "behind-the-post" gossip and reveal the answers to some questions that viewers want to know, like: how is jimstreeteasy's spin-off doing? are PAS and Balanspr really the same person? see behind the scenes footage of Sticky's Open House visit. why did the producer's late-season addition of mattcab fail to boost ratings and keep the show running? plus - we will be revealing the winner of our "fan favorite" internet poll!! all this and much, much more!!!
yawwwwwn
i can't believe they killed that thread. ADMINISTRATOR, the thread was actually quite INFORMATIVE. there was much information in the content of the thread -- as well as the TONE of posts and replies. the level of name-calling was really NOT that out of line. and the OP was voluntarily out in public about the unit. BRING IT BACK.
I was on page 4/7. I thought it was the collapse of NYC RE demonstrated in one thread. Not exactly, but it shows the actual emotions of a seller in a down market. It was a reality show in itself and I missed a third of it. What happens in page 5-7? I want to know how this plays out. It's not over and I hope we get updates.
what was the last thing you read? the protagonist/antagonist (depending on how you look at it) actually bailed out somewhere and and never returned.
407PAS was still defending his price. I was going to comment after reading all the posts. You've gotta admit that the guy has heart. Unfortunately, his ego and emotional attachment to his apt will be his downfall. I hate brokers more than most of you, but I feel Manhattan is different- sellers, and especially the buyers. I was most impressed with some Manhattan brokers and I think that most outer borough agents are useless. I think 407PAS' closed-mindedness about brokers is his thinking that he is smarter than them. What he doesn't realize is that he fits the profile for someone who needs a broker. He needs to ask himself if he would buy his own apartment at his selling price. If it comes time to negotiate with him, what kind of stance will he take? I would hate to do business with this guy.
In terms of his apt, I like it. I don't agree with the benefits of high maintenance, and I doubt he's looking to move into another building with high maintenance. But what I see going for this apt are the windows in the kitchen and bath, a real rarity in Manhattan. That feature is non-existent in new construction.
I guess my post will be viewed by 407PAS as another nasty comment. I don't care. Wake up look at reality.
What is the minimum income to live in that apt?
did you come in before or after sticky actually went to the open house?
This is like Twin Peaks. I can't wait to find out what happens ne--*THUD*
I think it was before. PAS was saying he treated sticky(?) as a friend. I forget the cast of characters. So what happenned???
well...at some point 407PAS said he was going to come back and "summarize his thoughts" so he could put an end to the discussion. i explained to him that the discussion was no longer about him and had not been for some time. he then said that he would only discuss the apartment with interested parties on his own email. then...sticky actually went to the open house. he said he was the only one there and the sign-in sheet didn't have anyone either. there were no cookies. he actually gave the apartment a good review from what i remember but he still didn't think it warranted the price. he gave a physical description of 407 himself. then the thread ended up going in a new direction buy way of jimstreeteasy. he posed questions about the affect of high maintenance on buying/selling/valuing apartments and the thread then went on for about another 150+ posts. someone else might have more to add.
All that remains is below - like a relic from ancient Greece, sadly only fragments remain.

He's having another open house this Sunday, 4/5.
I read all that. From the AT thread, it seems like the apartment has beenn on the market for over 6 months. I wonder if he had offers of over $489k early on. He sounds like someone who wouldn't budge.
He states on AT that he doesn't have to sell.
Everyone should just leave SE and move to apartmenttherapy.com where the debate is just as good and they do not feel the need to censor people...link to discussion is below

Apt_Boy - I skimmed the first 10 posts or so. Is everyone on there from Nebraska or what? Maybe you should go liven it up.
newaccount:
