230 W78th - Linden - default?

I was idly perusing nycondoblogs, and it looks like the Linden may not achieve its mandatory closing date for its first apartment (which I think then lets others out of their contract). I have no ideas what the details are, but this is intriguing. Can anyone shed light on this? I visited the sales office at the Linden at the very beginning (< 5 units in contract), I was put off by the layouts but I liked the interior esthetics (high doors & ceilings). The finished exterior looks crappy - the uneven buff bricks make it look like 60s era public housing projects as do the too narrow windows.
