Discussion about
From Sunday's NY Times: "With a stalemate at One Beacon Court and other expensive condos, some brokers might recommend that sellers cut their asking prices. But not Louise Sunshine. She created the marketing plan and sold apartments at One Beacon Court and many other expensive projects. She also bought a home at One Beacon Court. She said there was no reason to think that cutting prices would lead to sales at anything but distress levels. "I would advise anybody who lives in a quality building to raise their prices and have patience," she said, "because nothing is going to move until people have confidence."
i heard tge same story.. then i drastically lowered the price and it sold. if you can wait, wait but if you can't raising the price does not seem to be the answer.. my opinion
what an idiot.
it was april fools this week. i guess that would be her.
Makes sense for her comment since she owns a unit there so lowering the price will lower her value. Maybe she is looking to pump and dump.
With so many people outraged about Wall Street dropping millions of bonuses to bankers, where is the outrage for the real estate brokers making millions just for opening the doors?
If you need to sell, lower your price, if you don't, don't. In amy case, do not let your broker pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do, regardless if you are a buyer or seller. And I agree with hofo about the ridiculous amount of money brokers make for not doing very little.
Then again, these are the same morons who thought Manhattan RE would increase forever. Morons.
It wasn't just Manhattan. It was nationwide. And it wasn't just borkers, either.
Yes, the nation was full of borkers.
