My daughter is looking to rent around Fordham University. Any suggestions? Reasonable prices.

Not a reasonable-price neighborhood. I think a lot of the students live up near the Bronx campus and take the shuttle downtown.

you have to go lower into the kitchen to find rents that are on the affordable side

What do you consider reasonable?

As a neighborhood, Hell's Kitchen probably has the lowest rents within walking distance. There are a lot of apartments in tenements and browstones at good prices, especially in this market. She may also want to look at the big towers on Riverside Boulevard. A lot of those apartments seem to be sitting empty and she may be able to get a good deal.

your not going to get a god deal on Riverside Blvd. THose are super expensive bildings. Besides, a college suden does not need to live in such an expensve buiding with 5 star ammeniies. However, I secnd Hell's Kitchen.
