Developed by Related Companies, New York Construction called the $180 million project “a true mixed-use project.” It houses Random House’s 25-story corporate headquarters and its exterior, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill marries two distinct structural elements; one whose complex geometric angles resemble bookends with the Park Imperial topping that.

Its design was given the Award of Merit from New York Construction when it was completed in 2002.

Ismael Leyva, who New York Living Magazine called “one of the foremost shapers of our interior life” and Adam D. Tihany, known for his international hospitality design, designed The Park Imperial’s residential structure and interior.
