Clicking the "ignore this person" is the only solution to the problem. If you don't read his comments, it won't bother you and it won't tempt you to respond. When you respond, it will only encourage him.

Trust me, I have had this person on ignore for a long time but more now than ever good threads are being polluted by one unbalanced individual. Clearly SE isn't opposed to censorship so it's a little puzzling and growing more and more aggravating to see it it continue unabated.

Wouldn't the problem be solved if the 3 individuals would place the poster you don't like on ignore?

Streeteasy gives us the tools to manage posters, those 3 choose to ignore them and to actively engage.

SE cannot really do anything about it because he can always come back under another screen name. Some people are still directly responding to him. You'll get better results if you ask everyone else to ignore him.

Sunday - SE can do a lot to control unbalanced individuals from disrupting the site but I am curious why they choose not to.

It's one thing to hire someone to review every single thread, it's another to review every single message. It's simply not cost effective. Yes, SE can remove his account and block his email address, but he can always create new ones. Trying to remove him will only encourage him. Asking everyone else to ignore him is the only solution. I have him on ignore and it works quite well for me.

This will be my last message regarding this. Enough time wasted.

SE could always block his IP address(es). That would prevent him from using the computers he uses most, which would presumably be the most convenient machines (home/work, charitably assuming Hfscomm has either a home or a job).

I see the censorship crew at StreeEasy have killed another thread on the subject of unbalanced contributers dragging down the quality of this forum. It's hugely disappointing in light of other threads that are allowed to stay, which offer nothing more than personal attacks on the long time contributers that have made this forum so great.
