I check cases of wine on planes using Styrofoam wine shippers that cost under $8 and hold a dozen bottles. I have three sitting in my living room right now. You can come have them for free and make as many trips as you need back and forth in a taxi.
If you're moving >1000 bottles, then you need to drink more. As far as the piano is concerned, maybe somebody else has a Styrofoam shipper for that.

They were pretty good with my wine. A couple of girls they sent for packing for energizer bunnies without any damage. Not a single wine glass ( out of >100) was damaged either.

They broke a table of mine, glued it together without consent, and then told me to shove it when I complained. They suck, pass.

3 moves and great. Complicated aspects handled well. With all the packing, moving, storage, delivering only damage was 1 lamp

Used them twice. Second time estimate included packing all electronics amd lamps (I never requested it). They are schisters. I went along with the packing of these items. Every single lamp was destroyed including base, shade and all bulbs. My antique mirror was all scratched and chipped. They were terrible. They did not wrap my furniture as they should have. They even had a girl working on her first day on our move.
I would stay away. Knowing the cost beforehand is nice, but they have no respect for your items. And, I found out after the fact, that they should have been responsible in full due to the fact that I had the package where they pack these items that were damaged. They didn't even tell me that. SCUMBAGS!

The foreman from FlatRate regular showed up sick, asked for medicine, left to get medicine , dropped a box on top of another box, then on our new building he spit up his phlegm onto the hallway carpet. FR didn't care but after American Express got a hold of the charge the flat rate was zero. Maybe Elite doesn't spit on the carpet.
Anyone have feedback about Flatrate's Elite service compared to their usual moving services? Anyone ever get an estimate from them?
I ask because I have a piano and a wine collection to be moved. Any other suggestions welcome.
hire someone else
Elite just means more expensive.
