I've got some oversize steel windows, probably original to the bldg circa 1925, that seem to be basically in good shape but need restoration/repair work. I'd like to save them rather than replace...Anyone know someone who does this work well?

While I have not used them, Patriot Restorations has done a fair amount of work in my bldg. We're a circa 1930 bldg w/ steel casements. They've restored a few. I think that the contact is Chris Kelly, (845) 569-2020. The info is old and may not be accurate, but give it a try.

Yeah, unfortunately they are really experts in casement windows not double-hung, at least that's what they told me. There do seem to be plenty of people working on casement windows, fewer who really deal with double-hung steel windows.
