... until the elevator starts breaking repeatedly, and you're imprisoned in your apartment for a week at a time.

man on the moon..."

Of course he's dead! God didn't intend for mankind to take small steps on the moon. One just can't do that and expect to live.

Parachute indeed ... RIP-cord.

He was the first man on the moon.
I would have said: "You go first-- I'll go second."
Just in case.

That's a good word for Armstrong's departure from the mortal coil, mutombo.

I like how the husband drives it up into the apt. spot and then walks through the apt. to meet his wife and hands the keys to her. Then she gets in the car and goes down to street level and drives away.
She's been waiting all day for him to get home with the car so she could go out.

Why are you assuming they're married? In NYC, don't straight people just shack up?

Sounds so much more elegant when it's pronounced "GAH-rahj"

Matt: If I owned the apt I would not let anybody shack up there with me.
Post-shtupp you don't have to go home -- but you can't stay here.

glamma, i would add a SAFE centralized...

there are plenty of victorians out there in places where you wouldn't want to drive through, let alone live.

well you know in 2009 there were a sh*tload of these going for somelike ridiculous like 350k in a bad part of bushwick, which has since been totally gentrified and is now a very safe part of bushwick, those same places are now going for like 800, 900k so.... depends on your threshold and whether you think every square foot of ever borough will ultimately be gentrified sooner or later (personally i think it seems to be going that way)..

glamma, while I don't quite side with ab's sort of irrational fear, don't think it's quite accurate to say Bushwick's been totally gentrified either. Your 6BR Victorian is probably in Ditmas Park somewhere.

true but i was referring to a certain part of bushwick, not the entire (huge) expanse of it.

It even appears to have a little sliver of outdoor space.
