Very general question but am wondering if the payoff of investing in condos will be better than good quality muiltifamily houses in a 5-10 year period.

Any thoughts?

I don't think that's a totally suitable comparison. Whatever type of property it is, the issue is positive cash flow & that depends on expenses, market, location, condition, etc.
