Is this the unit mentioned in the article about S. Epatha Merkerson? The timing, price and location fit, but I wanted to see if anyone knew from the court papers.

It looks like a great apartment from the pictures, but seems expensive for the building.

That's the one. She also has apartments at 257 W 117th and 604 Riverside.

The article says she paid $1.7 million in 2002. That doesn't even make sense. If true, ouch

Old building that has not been well maintained and is past its day. Doesn't look like real estate values are holding up there. Having an apartment that is loosing value can't be helping here. 9 million comes off as ridiculous

I hope her building's management company gets what it deserves !
